An Amish Murder

Good movie!
Just finished watching this from a recording taken from cable and I thought it was very good. Good enough that my 16-year old son stopped playing video games and watched it with the rest of us.

I'm not sure if the Amazon Instant Video is the same as the version we saw since an earlier reviewer indicated that it seemed like parts were edited. The version I saw was easy to follow. The pace moves along nicely and it keeps you wondering what is going to happen as well as what happened in the past.

The general plot involves a female sheriff (who was once Amish) returning to the town she left (for mysterious reasons) many years ago. Throw in the return of a serial-killer to this same town, and you have an interesting movie with enough suspense to keep you watching. The dialog between the actors is good and the story is good. I think it would make an interesting TV series.

I normally don't watch movies involving serial-killers but this one is done in a way...

SYNOPSIS TOTALLY BOGUS!
I have watched "AN AMISH MURDER" on LIFETIME TELEVISION and it is not a 'Larry the Cable Guy' movie. Don't know where you got that from but it's not, really.
An Amish Murder stars Neve Campbell as the Police Chief of a small town/city where Amish live in the surrounding area. A murder of an Amish girl brings back traumatic memories for the 'English' and Amish alike. The movie seems disjointed as if scenes have been removed for television and the run time here seems short as well. If released on DVD hope that it will be restored.

Please replace the Synopsis.

Stayed true to the book
Nicely done. Not my favorite TV movie, but still very credible work. Not quite as angst-ridden as the books, which is a good thing.
